A legal, payroll question?
I have direct deposit with my company. I was informed by our COO less that 48 hours in advance, that since we are changing to a new payroll processing company, we will be given paper checks this payday instead of direct deposit. This will result in me missing automatic bill pays as well as other deductions from my account that I scheduled and cannot stop in time. Is there any legal ramifications my company could/should face for this and are they responsible for the financial penalties I will suffer because of it. I live in Illinois if that matters.
