Has my cat gone mad? what is going on with him?

So 2 years ago i found a 7 week old kitten dieing on the side of the road. i saved him and he has been living with us since. he was the sweetest kindest fellow ever. 10 months ago i had a baby and he was great . We made sure not to treat him any different so he wouldn't get jelouse and it worked out well... but just a couple of weeks ago he has become to aggresive toward me. today he bit me twice. one was straight through my thumb down to the bone. i dont know why he is acting this way towards me. i havent done anything to harm him and i havent treated him any different then usual. i feed him clean him and cuddle with him like i have always done so why is he like this. i'm so scared he is going to attact my 10 month old daughter he has become unpredictable and unfriendly. am i right to think of rehoming him? please dont be hateful towards me with ur comments. but my daughters and my families safty comes first for me
