I really like my friend but I just dont know what to do?

so, since the day he moved here, i've liked him.but hes never known.and since the day my ex best friend moved here, hes always loved her and probably always will.me and him used to be really close, he'd pretty much tell me everything but for some reason not always open up completely.he's one of those guys that have very outspoken strong opinions...yea he can be an .but thats just what makes him more attractive i guess.i love a challenge.theres something about him that makes me crazy, he has such a care free attitude and hes hysterical and just everything i need.i know that if i needed him he'd be there for me, even though were not as close as we once were.i just dont tell him things though because i know he'd tell my ex bestfriend.he tells her everything because he insanely is in love with her.me and her are on bad terms.she horres my best friend because she missed me and my bestfriend took 'her bestfriend' from her.i know. its pathetic.recently hes starting to acknowledge me a little more.i dont know what to do, i feel like he cant keep a secret if i tell him
